Well sand is never a good thing for close tolerance parts but i hear about alot of people getting there trucks out there in the beach sand. My suggestion is to enclose the reciever box ina balloon or plastic bag. Another good idea is to install an gear cover like an rpm or other
Also you might want to think about upgrading your cvd's to aluminum cvd's that are going to take more of the torque of running in the sand you can usually pick a set up for $30.00 or so. Another good idea might be to upgrade your rear tires to some sand paw tires(paddles) to help you dig into the sand and draw some of that stuff away from your underbody.
I hope this helps you enjoy your day at the beach good luck!! _________________

| I took my jato out to the beach once. Bad idea if you tell me iwas cleaning sand out of the gear sprockets and internals for a week. the shocks had to be rebuilt and i had dirt in my air filter which almost ended up in the carb that would of ended my babys life. i personally dont sugest it with out making some adjustments what admin said sounds good but try wraping some plastic around some of the major parts just be careful cause the plastic could melt to your engine that would be bad. Also if you have the money get a k&n airfilter or something that will fit your 'pede there usually pretty inexpensive and they will help to filter out the air and dust a whole lot better. Supposedly gives you extra horse power but who knows. Good luck though and be carefull try not to dig into the sand that would be the worst. _________________
